Abstract:
Provided are a solid food that enables the manufacture of a product, said product being prevented from damage due to dropping and thus having improved transportation stability, and a solid milk. The solid food is obtained by solidifying a powder by compression molding. When a drop test where the solid food is dropped to a dropping face is repeated until the solid food is broken: the number of times of dropping necessary to break is 3 or more at a dropping energy density EF per unit breaking stress of 2×10-4 [(J/m2)/(N/m2)], said EF being calculated by dividing the dropping energy density in the drop test by the breaking stress of the solid food; the number of times of dropping necessary to break is 10 or more at an EF of 1×10-4 [(J/m2)/(N/m2)]; and the number of times of dropping necessary to break exceeds 30 at an EF of 5×10-5 [(J/m2)/(N/m2)].
