Abstract:
Provided is an atomizer that can generate a large volume of fine particles having particle sizes that are fine enough to cause Brownian motion. This atomizer is provided with: an atomization tank 11 capable of storing a liquid; an atomization device 12 that has installed therein an ultrasonic oscillator that atomizes liquid inside the atomization tank to generate fine particles; a blower 13 that is provided with a blowing member capable of maintaining a prescribed rotation speed, and that discharges conveying air for conveying fine particles of liquid inside the atomization tank from a blowing port 11b provided to the top surface of the atomization tank; an outlet 11c that is provided to the atomization tank and sends out fine particles together with the conveying air; and a baffle plate 14a that is installed inside the atomization tank. The baffle plate 14a is positioned in an orientation that blocks conveying air supplied from the blowing port and a liquid column generated by the ultrasonic oscillator, above the ultrasonic oscillator and below the blowing port.
