Title:
AUTHENTICATION DEVICE, AUTHENTICATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/064706
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to suppress a change in brightness in a finger vein image and improve authentication precision. An infrared LED (4) projects infrared light upon a finger. A camera (8) captures a finger vein image based on the light transmitted through the finger in a prescribed exposure time (Te). An average brightness computation unit (31) computes the average brightness (La1) of the finger vein image. An exposure time control unit (35) executes control for changing the exposure time (Te) of the camera (8) in a range from a minimum time to a maximum time on the basis of an error in the average brightness (La1) with respect to a target brightness (TLa) of the finger vein image. An LED light quantity control unit (36) executes control for changing an LED light quantity (PI) of the infrared LED in a range from zero to a maximum light quantity, on the basis of the said error.
