Abstract:

In this authentication method, a computer executes a process of: when first captured data and second captured data captured by a first camera are received, identifying, with reference to a storage unit that stores biological information of a person in association with feature information of a facial image of the person, a first biological information group including a plurality of pieces of biological information associated with the feature information of which similarity to the feature information of a first facial image included in the first captured data meets a criterion, and a second biological information group including a plurality of pieces of biological information associated with the feature information of which similarity to the feature information of a second facial image included in the second captured data meets a criterion; when third captured data captured by a second camera is received, identifying one of the first biological information group and the second biological information group on the basis of similarity of the feature information of a facial image included in the third captured data to each of the feature information of the first facial image and the feature information of the second facial image; and when biological information detected by a sensor is obtained, carrying out an authentication process with the plurality of pieces of biological information included in the biological information group thus identified and the biological information thus obtained.
