Abstract:
Provided are an autograph assisting device, an autograph assisting method, and a program that reduce a sense of discomfort felt by a user to improve an autograph assistance function. The autograph assisting device is provided with: a beam splitter that is arranged with a space provided between the beam splitter and a writing surface, the beam splitter reflecting light from an image display surface so that a virtual image of an image displayed on the image display surface is visually recognizable on the writing surface opposing the image display surface, and allowing light from a writing surface side to pass therethrough so that the writing surface side is visually recognizable; and an image display control unit that performs control such that a first image including a plurality of image objects indicating write-down target regions is displayed on the image display surface, and, when a real object including a writing tool has been inserted into the space between the beam splitter and the writing surface, an image object among the plurality of image objects that overlaps the real object on the writing surface and does not overlap a tip end of the writing tool is hidden.
