Abstract:
This automated analyzer comprises: an incubator accommodating a plurality of reaction vessels, a sample dispensing mechanism for dispensing a sample to each of the plurality of reaction vessels, an attachment unit for attaching a dispensing tip to the sample dispensing mechanism, a suction unit for using the sample dispensing mechanism having the dispensing tip attached thereto to draw the sample from a sample container including the sample, a discharge unit that is provided in the incubator and is for discharging the sample from the sample dispensing mechanism to a reaction vessel, a disposal unit for disposing the dispensing tip, a sensor for detecting whether the dispensing tip is attached to the sample dispensing mechanism, and a control unit for controlling the sample dispensing mechanism. The attachment unit, suction unit, discharge unit, and disposal unit are arranged along the movement path of the sample dispensing mechanism. The sensor is disposed at a position sandwiched by any two selected from among the attachment unit, suction unit, dispensing unit, and disposal unit so as to be capable of detecting a dispensing tip.
