Abstract:
An automated driving system for a motor vehicle, relating to the field of motor vehicles, being a solution for automated driving, and comprising a motor vehicle body (37), a direction control motor (27), an accelerator control motor (28), a brake controller (29), an automated driving main control computer (25), a left infrared light emitting lamp (12), a right infrared light emitting lamp (11), an upper infrared light emitting lamp, a left infrared laser transverse-vertical-line emitter (14), a right infrared laser transverse-vertical-line emitter (13), an upper infrared laser transverse-vertical-line emitter, a left side infrared laser transverse-vertical-line emitter (16), a right side infrared laser transverse-vertical-line emitter (15), infrared cameras (3, 4, 7, 8), and the like. The infrared cameras (3, 4, 7, 8) for collecting images are provided at high positions in the front of the vehicle body (37); the road surface in front of the vehicle is detected in a manner that infrared light and infrared laser transverse-vertical lines in three directions, i.e., front, left and right sides of the vehicle, are emitted in turn while images are respectively collected for comparison; a right laser scanning range finder (38) and a left laser scanning range finder (39) perform distance measurement on front obstacles. Therefore, various conditions comprising objects, pits, depressions, ditches, curbs, vehicles, pedestrians, etc., on the road surface may be better identified. Satellite navigation to a destination is performed, and automated driving is performed according to traffic laws and regulations.
