Abstract:
This automatic analysis apparatus has: a reagent container which holds a reagent; a suction nozzle which suctions the reagent; an analysis unit which adds, to a sample, the reagent suctioned from the reagent container through the suction nozzle and performs an analysis operation; an ultraviolet ray source which sterilizes the reagent through radiation of ultraviolet rays; and an electrode or a substrate for supplying electric power to the ultraviolet ray source, wherein the automatic analysis apparatus is configured such that an insulation part is provided between the ultraviolet ray source and the electrode or substrate, and the reagent in the suction nozzle, or the ultraviolet ray source and the electrode or substrate, and the reagent in the suction nozzle are spaced apart from each other. Thus, sterilization of the reagent and suppression of changes in the characteristics of the reagent can be achieved at the same time.
