The present invention provides an automatic analysis device capable of detecting the position of a tip of a nozzle used for dispensing, with high accuracy, and of precisely adjusting the position of the nozzle. The automatic analysis device according to the present invention includes: a dispensing mechanism (14, 15) that includes a nozzle (21, 22) for dispensing a reagent or a specimen and a dispensing arm (201) for moving the nozzle (21, 22); a cleaning tank (26, 27) in which the nozzle (21, 22) is cleaned; and an automatic-analysis-device control unit that adjusts the position of the nozzle (21, 22). The automatic analysis device analyzes a mixture of the reagent and the specimen contained in a reaction cell. A stop position for the nozzle (21, 22) is set in the dispensing mechanism (14, 15). The dispensing mechanism (14, 15) includes an image acquisition device (202) on the dispensing arm (201). The automatic-analysis-device control unit acquires an image of the nozzle (21, 22) at an image acquisition position (407, 412) for the nozzle (21, 22) by means of the image acquisition device (202). The image acquisition position (407, 412) is a position to which the nozzle (21, 22) can move and that is different from the stop position.
