Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an automatic driving robot control device and control method that make it possible to highly accurately follow a required vehicle speed while smoothly controlling a vehicle. [Solution] Provided is an automatic driving robot 4 control device 10 that is for controlling an automatic driving robot (drive robot) 4, which is mounted in a vehicle 2 and causes the vehicle 2 to run, such that the vehicle 2 runs according to a specific required vehicle speed, said automatic driving robot 4 control device 10 being provided with: a running state acquisition unit 22 for acquiring a running state of the vehicle 2 that includes the vehicle speed and the required vehicle speed; an operation detail inference unit 31 for, on the basis of the running state, inferring an operation sequence, which is a sequence of vehicle 2 operations at a plurality of future times for making the vehicle 2 run according to the required vehicle speed, using an operation inference learning model 40 that has been trained using machine learning to infer the operation sequence; and a vehicle operation control unit 23 for extracting, from a plurality of operation sequences inferred in the past, the operations corresponding to the control time at which the automatic driving robot 4 will be controlled next, calculating a final operation value by calculating a weighted sum of the plurality of extracted operations, generating a control signal for controlling the automatic driving robot 4 on the basis of the final operation value, and transmitting the control signal to the automatic driving robot 4.
