Abstract:
The present invention provides an automatic gain control device which reduces the time required for automatic gain control during the rough adjustment of automatic gain control processing. A first frequency conversion unit generates an I-system baseband signal on the basis of a high-frequency received signal and a first local signal in a given frequency band. A second frequency conversion unit generates a Q-system baseband signal on the basis of a high-frequency received signal and a second local signal having a phase which is different from the first local signal by 90°. A first and a second variable amplifier amplify the respective I-system and Q-system baseband signals.
A first and a second AD conversion unit convert respective amplified I-system and Q-system baseband signals to digital data. A first and a second over-range detection unit detect the over-range of the first and the second CAD conversion units. An automatic gain control unit selects the gain on the basis of the detection information of the over-range, and the respective I-system and Q-system baseband signals.
An offset setting unit gives a predetermined offset to the selected gain, and sets a gain after the offset with respect to the first or the second variable amplifier.
