Abstract:
This invention relates to a fishway provided to a dam, or the like. A water pressure chamber is formed at the bottom of an intermediate portion of the waterway. A fishway apparatus main body whose downstream end is supported pivotally and whose upstream end is capable of moving up and down is disposed above the water pressure chamber and water is caused to flow into the water pressure chamber via an overflow weir fitted to the upstream end of the fishway apparatus main body to force the water in the water pressure chamber to the downstream side through an outflow port having a small diameter. The fishway apparatus main body is floated by a sealed portion and is moved up and down by a pressure acting on the lower portion of the fishway apparatus main body which is changed by an inflow quantity from the overflow weir and outflow quantity from the outflow port so that the overflow water depth of partitions disposed upright in the fishway portion on the upper part can be controlled appropriately.
