Abstract:
An automated test travel system 10 for traveling vehicles, having markers 11e serving as indications of travel position provided along a circular course 11 and wherein a driverless vehicle 20 comprises: a travel unit 22 and a steering unit 23 for traveling along the circular course 11; and a detection unit 28 comprising a position sensor 28b that detects the travel state, a vehicle speed sensor 28c, a triaxial acceleration sensor 28d, and a marker sensor 28a that detects markers. The automated test travel system is configured such that a driving control unit: detects the position, speed, and orientation of the driverless vehicle 20 on the basis of detection signals S1–S4 from the detection unit 28 in the driverless vehicle 20; and causes the driverless vehicle 20 to drive laps around the circular course 11, by drive-controlling the travel unit and the steering unit.
