Abstract:
An automatic toll receiving system comprises a first storage section for storing a current state control program for operating an automatic toll receiving machine which receives the toll corresponding to the use condition of a toll road, a second storage section for storing an updated control program produced by updating the current state control program, an toll receiving machine having a controller for selectively reading and executing the current state control program or the updated control program, and a monitoring board connected to the toll receiving machine and adapted to transmit the updated control program to the second storage section. With such a system, it is possible to perform update without closing the lane for a long time when the current state control program of the automatic toll receiving machine is changed to the updated control program.
