Abstract:
The present invention relates to an automatic vehicle glass installation system and installation method. An automatic vehicle glass installation system according to the present invention may comprise: a vehicle body transfer line on which vehicle bodies subject to glass installation are mounted at predetermined intervals to be transferred; a robot installation module provided at a predetermined point on one side of the vehicle body transfer line and configured to install glass on the vehicle body by a robot arm; and a transfer module which lifts the vehicle body from a setting point more rearward than an installation point of the robot arm with reference to the transfer direction of the vehicle body to moves the vehicle body forward to the installation point of the robot arm, and, when the installation of the glass by the robot arm is completed at the installation point, lowers the vehicle body back to the original position on the vehicle body transfer line. The present invention as described above is advantageous in that the transfer state of a vehicle body transfer line is maintained normally, while automatic installation by a robot arm is possible, thereby greatly improving the productivity of a glass installation process.
