Title:
AUTOMOTIVE DC–DC CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/181497
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention aims to: be capable of switching so as to have asynchronous rectification during light loads and synchronous rectification during heavy loads; and suppress reduction in output voltage when changing from light loads to heavy loads. This automotive DC–DC converter (1) switches from asynchronous rectification control to synchronous rectification control if a drive unit (34) has a current flowing through a second conduction path (22) that has increased to a prescribed level or has a voltage for the second conduction path (22) that has decreased to a prescribed level. In response to the drive unit (34) switching from asynchronous rectification control to synchronous rectification control, a duty determination unit (32): performs a second operation that increases an ON/OFF signal duty to a higher duty than a duty determined by a first operation (said first operation determining the ON/OFF signal duty using a prescribed control amount determination method); and, after the second operation, performs the first operation.
