Abstract:
The present invention relates to an auxiliary camera device for a smart phone which is controlled by being connected to the exterior of the smart phone and is separate from a camera module provided within the smart phone. The auxiliary camera device for a smart phone, according to the present invention, comprises: a camera photographing unit for photographing an image inputted through a lens; an image compression unit for compressing and image-processing the image photographed through the camera photographing unit; and a communication interface unit which communicates with a smart phone provided as a separate device, receives a control signal for controlling the camera photographing unit from the smart phone, and transmits the image processed through the image compression unit to the smart phone, wherein the control signal is generated by a camera control application installed in the smart phone. Thus, since the auxiliary camera device can be manufactured separate from the camera module provided inside the smart phone, the auxiliary camera device can be manufactured in various forms and can be used as an accessory.
