Abstract:
A backlight module (100) and a display apparatus (1000). The backlight module (100) comprises: a light guide plate (200); a lower light source (400) disposed adjacent to a side edge of the light guide plate (200); a light collecting element (300) disposed adjacent to and above the light guide plate (200), wherein a bottom surface of the light collecting element (300) is provided with a plurality of light collecting structures (350), and the plurality of light collecting structures (350) face the light guide plate (200); and an upper light source (500) disposed adjacent to a light incident side of the light collecting element (300). The display apparatus (1000) comprises a display panel (700) and a backlight module (100). The backlight module (100) and the display apparatus (1000) achieve a narrow-view peep-proof mode by turning on only the lower light source (400), or achieve a wide-view sharing mode by turning on the lower light source (400) and the upper light source (500) simultaneously.
