Abstract:
A backlight system for a liquid crystal display. A light guide plate (3) is disposed on a frame (4); a quantum dot film (2) is disposed on the upper portion or lower portion of the light guide plate (3); an optical film set (1) is disposed on the upper portion of the light guide plate (3) or quantum dot film (2); the left and right sides or/and top and bottom sides of the quantum dot film (2) are reserved with margins in cutting; the margins are processed into bent portions (21) during manufacturing the backlight system; a failure zone is located in the margin areas; the margin areas is firstly bent and then envelops the light guide plate (3) or the optical film set (1) in the backlight system, so that the quantum dot film (2) having an efficient color gamut transition function covers the whole surface of the display panel during displaying, thereby preventing the failure zone generated by cutting the quantum dot film (2) from affecting the picture quality of the display. Moreover, the present invention has a simple structure, and is fast and convenient to process.
