Abstract:
A backup roll device for a multi-roll mill, the backup roll device comprising a shaft, a support body that supports the shaft, a backup roll that is supported on the shaft, and a detector that detects the load applied to the backup roll. The backup roll includes an inner ring that is fixed to the shaft, an outer ring that is arranged on the outside of the inner ring in the radial direction, and a plurality of rolling bodies that are arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring in the radial direction. The detector is attached to the inner ring, and a wiring passage through which a cable for the detector is passed is formed in the shaft along the axial direction of the shaft.
