Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a ball bearing for use in a motor-internal spindle, in which, when cooling air intrudes into the bearing of the motor-internal spindle, the air is discharged to outside of the bearing without the air causing turbulence inside of the bearing, thus suppressing vibration of the retainer 14 and making the bearing quiet. The bearing center direction leading end 15a of the radially inner surface of a seal plate 15 is positioned axially more towards the center than the axially outer surface 14a of the retainer 14, forming an overlap portion A between the bearing center direction leading end 15a of the radially inner surface of the seal plate 15 and the axially outer surface 14a of the retainer 14, so that when cooling air passes through the inside of the bearing, the cooling air is prevented from entering towards the retainer 14, and the cooling air is smoothly discharged to outside of the bearing.
