Abstract:
Provided is a mobile station usable-resource setting method that can improve the band selection flexibility of communication terminals subject to large influences of adjacent-cell interferences, while suppressing the interferences between adjacent cells. A base station, which is operative to wireless communicate with a mobile terminal in a main communication area, comprises: a priority band setting unit that sets, for the main communication area, main priority radio resources usable on a higher priority basis than for communication areas adjacent to the main communication area and that acquires, for at least one particular communication area adjacent to the main communication area, particular priority radio resources usable on a higher priority basis than for the communication areas adjacent to the particular communication area; and a usable band setting unit that acquires, for the communication terminal, a communication quality difference between a communication quality related to the main communication area and a communication quality related to the particular communication area, adds at least one of the particular priority radio resources to the main priority radio resources when at least one condition that the communication quality difference is greater than a threshold value is satisfied, and that sets, as the usable radio resources of the communication terminal, the main priority radio resources to which the at least one of the particular priority radio resources has been added.
