Abstract:
This base station device (7), which is connected to a second network (3) via a first network (2), is provided with a detection unit (41, 57, 66) and a connection setting unit (63). The detection unit (41, 57, 66) detects the lengths of packets conveyed between the second network (3) and a mobile station device (10), and in accordance with detection results from the detection unit (41, 57, 66), the connection setting unit (63) transmits, to the mobile station device (10), an instruction signal that sets up a wireless communication connection between the mobile station device (10) and a second base station device (9) that is connected to the second network (3) via a third network (4), said third network (4) being different from the first network (2).
