Abstract:
A basket-style carrier is formed from a single blank and includes parallel first and second side walls (14, 18), parallel first and second end walls (12, 16), and a composite handle structure (20) arranged between the first and second side walls (14, 18). The handle structure (20) has first and second handle panels (36, 40) secured together in a juxtaposed relationship. A first securing member (82) is hingedly connected to the first handle panel (36) and glued to the inside surface of the first end wall (12) to create a joint between the handle structure (20) and the first end wall (12). A first joint-reinforcing member (94) is hingedly connected to the second handle panel (40) and glued to the inside surface of said first end wall (12).
