Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a battery balancing circuit and a method. The circuit comprises: a battery pack which is formed from a number N of battery cells connected in series, N being greater than or equal to 2; N voltage collection units, each voltage collection unit being connected between the positive electrode of a corresponding battery cell and the voltage end of a control unit, and used to collect a voltage corresponding to the battery cell; N balancing units, each balancing unit being connected between the positive electrode and the negative electrode of a corresponding battery unit; and N driving units, each driving unit being arranged corresponding to a balancing unit. The control unit is used to output a corresponding control signal to a corresponding driving unit by means of the control end of the control unit according to the voltage of each battery unit, so that the corresponding driving unit drives the corresponding balancing unit to balance the voltage of the battery pack. The present circuit achieves circuit isolation by means of external arrangement of driving units and balancing units, and achieves voltage balancing of a battery pack by means of a control unit controlling the circuit. This increases balancing speed, and accelerates balancing capability.
