Abstract:
A battery management system, a battery pack, an electric vehicle, and a battery charging time prediction method are provided. The battery management system comprises: a memory for storing a first charging reference map in which the total M × N charging rates for first to Mth SOC sections and first to Nth temperature sections are recorded; a sensing unit for detecting the voltage, current, and temperature of a battery; and a control unit for determining an estimated SOC value of the battery. The control unit determines an mth charging rate associated with an mth SOC section to which the estimated SOC value belongs and with a temperature section to which the detected temperature value belongs. The control unit determines an estimated charging time value in the mth SOC section on the basis of the mth charging rate and the SOC difference between the estimated SOC value and the end point of the mth SOC section.
