Abstract:

Disclosed is a battery which is characterized by comprising: a container (1); an electrode group (2) that is housed in the container (1) and includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode; a plurality of collector tabs (8, 9) that protrude from a plurality of positions in the collector of either the positive electrode and/or the negative electrode of the electrode group (2); a cover (5) that covers the opening of the container (1); leads (3, 4) that comprise collector tab joining portions (3b, 4b) to which the collector tabs (8, 9) are electrically connected, cover joining portions (3a, 4a) which are affixed to the cover (5), and vibration absorbing portions (3c, 4c) which connect the collector tab joining portions (3b, 4b) with the cover joining portions (3a, 4a); and a safety valve (21) that is provided on the cover (5).
