Abstract:
A battery module comprises: a battery (1) including a positive electrode terminal (11), a negative electrode terminal (12), and a battery container (10); a cap (3) having opening portions (31, 32) formed corresponding to the positive electrode terminal (11) and the negative electrode terminal (12) and consisting of an insulating member that covers an end of the battery (1) including the negative electrode terminal (12); and a protective portion for covering in at least one of the opening portions. The cap (3) is pressed into the end of the battery until the press-in depth reaches a predetermined amount or more. The positive electrode terminal (11) or the negative electrode terminal (12) thereby penetrates the protective portion and protrudes from the cap (3).
