Abstract:
The present invention provides a battery module characterized by a structure in which two or more unit modules are tightly arranged, each unit module comprising one or at least two battery cells; a frame member structured to surround the outer peripheral sides of the one or at least two battery cells, the frame member comprising cooling manifold elements positioned on both ends of one side of the outer peripheral sides of the battery cell, respectively; and a cooling member mounted inside the frame member so as to face and contact the battery cell, the cooling member comprising a plate-shaped cooling fin having a shape and a size corresponding to those of the battery cell and a hollow cooling conduit positioned on an outer peripheral side of the cooling fin, the cooling conduit being connected to the cooling manifold elements of the frame member of the unit module in such a structure that a refrigerant inlet and a refrigerant outlet communicate with each other.
