Abstract:
A battery module, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a sub-module comprising a cell stack which comprises a plurality of battery cells, and a pair of busbar frames which are each coupled to one side and the other side, respectively, of the cell stack; a module housing for receiving the sub-module, and having an air inlet and air outlet formed for air circulation; a sprinkler passing through the module housing on one side of the stacking direction of the cell stack; and an outlet closing device for closing the air outlet by moving by means of buoyancy caused by a coolant which has flowed into the module housing through the sprinkler.
