Abstract:
Disclosed is a battery module with a reduced risk of secondary ignition or explosion. In order to attain the described purpose, the battery module according to the present invention comprises: a cell assembly having a plurality of secondary batteries; a module housing which accommodates the cell assembly in an internal space thereof, and which has an opening configured such that the internal space and an external space are in communication; and an adjustment cover configured to cover at least a portion of the opening so as to allow filling, at least to a predetermined height, with a fire extinguishing agent supplied inside the battery module.
