Abstract:
A battery module (10) comprises a battery element (20), and a housing unit (30) which houses the battery element (20). The housing unit (30) further comprises a conductive positive electrode-side plate (32), and a negative electrode-side plate (34). The housing unit (30) configures a housing part (35) which houses the battery element (20) from the positive electrode-side plate (32) and the negative electrode-side plate (34) of the housing unit (30), and configures a bonding end unit (40) which is the circumference end part of the housing part (35) with an insulation sheet (46) interposed between an external circumference end site (32b) of the positive electrode-side plate (32) and an external circumference end site (34b) of the negative electrode-side plate (34) and which bonds both external circumference end sites (32b, 34b) . The bonding end unit (40) further comprises a seam unit (45) which press fits and bonds both external circumference end units by overlapping and coiling same together, and an external circumference end frame body (50) which is insert molded using an insulating resin to encase the seam unit (45).
