Abstract:

A battery module comprises: a battery assembly having a plurality of battery structural bodies disposed adjacent to each other, the battery structural bodies each having a battery body having a battery cell and a battery holder for holding the battery body; and a pressure applying member for applying pressure to the battery assembly from a direction toward which the battery structural bodies are disposed adjacent to each other. The battery holder has: a first surface intersecting with the direction toward which the battery structural bodies are disposed adjacent to each other; a second surface located on the opposite side to the first surface; a projection portion projecting from the first surface toward the direction toward which the battery structural bodies are disposed adjacent to each other and having a top surface; and an insertion portion hollowing from the second surface toward the direction toward which the battery structural bodies are disposed adjacent to each other. The projection portion of the battery holder is inserted into the insertion portion of the adjacent battery holder in such a state that the top surface does not touch the adjacent battery holder. The battery body touches the adjacent battery body in such a state that at least one of the first and second surfaces of the battery holder holding the battery body is apart from the adjacent battery holder.
