Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a battery pack which has enhanced safety by preventing secondary explosions and thermal runaway. To this end, the battery pack according to the present invention comprises: a plurality of battery modules, each of which includes an outlet port configured to discharge internally generated gas to the outside; a tray in which the plurality of battery modules are mounted, and which includes an outlet for discharging gas to the outside; and a pair of side covers, which include main bodies elongated in one direction and respectively positioned at one side and the other side of the tray, a plurality of inlets, each of which is formed by perforating a portion and is connected to the outlet port, and at least a gas outlet configured to transfer the gas introduced through the inlets to the outlet.
