Abstract:

Disclosed is a battery pack having improved stability against thermal runaway of a battery module. A battery pack according to the present invention for achieving the above objective comprises; at least one battery module including a plurality of battery cells and a module housing for accommodating the plurality of battery cells; at least one thermoelectric module that is configured to be located outside or inside the module housing of the battery module and generates a voltage when the temperature of the battery module rises to a predetermined temperature or higher; and an energy consumption unit that is configured to discharge the battery module when a voltage of a predetermined size or more is applied from the thermoelectric module.
