Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a battery for which sealing of a battery fluid can easily be ensured and which has outstanding assemblability; and a seal member with which sealing of the battery fluid can easily be ensured. Provided is a battery that comprises the following: frame bodies that include a manifold that acts as a channel for the battery fluid; at least a pair of cell frames that mutually overlap and include bipolar plates disposed on the inner side of the frame bodies; a positive electrode and a negative electrode that are disposed so as to face one another between the bipolar plates of the pair of cell frames; and a separator film that is interposed between the overlapping frame bodies and between the electrodes and includes a penetrating hole that corresponds to the manifold. The battery: includes a ring-shaped base section disposed on the inner periphery of the penetrating hole and a forked ring-shaped leg section that extends from the ring-shaped base section toward the outside of the penetrating hole so as to sandwich the separator film; and is provided with a seal member that is interposed between the overlapping frame bodies.
