Abstract:
A battery swapping method, comprising: taking out a battery pack having insufficient electricity from an electric vehicle and placing the battery pack at a first position; overturning the taken-out battery pack having insufficient electricity to a second position from the first position in a first direction; putting the battery pack having insufficient electricity located at the second position into a charging compartment for charging, and/or taking out a battery pack having full electricity from the charging compartment and placing the battery pack having full electricity at a third position; overturning the taken-out battery pack having full electricity to a fourth position from the third position in a second direction; and putting the battery pack having full electricity located at the fourth position into the electric vehicle. The battery swapping method uses a small space and structure to complete taking and placing of a large size battery pack in a charging station, thus simplifying battery swapping process and increasing battery swapping speed, and achieves battery swapping of an electric vehicle using a single large battery pack in a case of a battery swapping station having a small occupied area, thereby reducing the cost of the battery pack and facilitating popularization.
