Abstract:
A battery is provided with an electrode group and a polygonal outer housing which accommodates the electrode group and has a cylindrical side wall section, a bottom section which is connected to bottom edge in the Z-direction of the side wall section, and an open section provided to a top edge. An inner surface of the bottom section of the outer housing has an inclined section which is inclined relative to the plane orthogonal to the Z-direction. The electrode group is in thermal contact with the inclined section. The bottom section may have a protrusion section which protrudes inward from the Z-direction of the outer housing, and the inclined section may be formed on the protrusion section.
