Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a bearing device for a wheel provided with a built-in in-wheel motor, the bearing device having rigidity, being lightweight and compact, and improving the rotational accuracy of an input shaft. [Solution] A speed reducer (3) is configured from a planetary gear comprising a sun gear (26) which is provided to the outer periphery of an input shaft (5), a ring gear (27) which is affixed to a housing (4), and pinion gears (28) which are disposed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction. An output member (6) is provided with: a joint shaft section (31) which is inserted into a hub ring (13) and which has an outer periphery fitted to the hub ring (13); an annular base section (33) which is formed to have a large diameter on the inside of the joint shaft section (31); a pair of flanges (34, 35) which protrudes outward in the radial direction from the annular base section (33) so as to face each other in the axial direction and which contains the pinion gears (28) between the pair of flanges (34, 35); and a holding section (50) which comprises a bridge (36) for connecting the pair of flanges to each other in the axial direction. A side surface (50a) of the holding section (50) is made to be in contact with the large end surface (14b) of an inner ring (14) so as to be abutted thereto, and the output member (6) is affixed to the hub ring (13) by an affixation nut (32) so that torque can be transmitted between the output member (6) and the hub ring (13).
