Abstract:
An image recording device (1) of the present invention has a belt transport device (2) for transporting a recording medium (P). An endless belt (23) of the transport device (2) extends over a plurality of rollers (21, 22). The belt (23) is cleaned by a belt cleaner (4). The cleaner (4) has a water spray pipe (40) and a brush roller (41). A cleaning fluid (W) is sprayed toward to the belt (23) on the roller (21) from a water spray hole (40a) in the pipe (40). The direction of the spray is tilted from a straight line (L) connecting the hole (40a) and the roller (21), by a constant angle (α) in the downstream side of the belt traveling direction. Thus, contamination of the recording medium (P) by scattered cleaning fluid is prevented. The contamination of the recording medium (P) is also prevented by a water blocking plate (48).
