Title:
BELT-CLEANING DEVICE, BELT CONVEYANCE DEVICE, AND IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/073906
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A belt-cleaning device (4) has a brush roller (41). Part of the hair (412) on the roller (41) contacts an endless belt (23). Part of the hair (412) is immersed in cleaning liquid in a tub (42). The roller (41) rotates in the opposite direction of the direction in which the belt (23) moves, which causes the liquid to be scraped up by the hair (412), and the belt (23) to be cleaned. The roller (41) has a brush shaft (411) that has a plurality of holes (411b). The holes (411b) are formed in a staggered pattern at a pitch of 3-4mm in the axial direction and a pitch of 3-7° in the circumferential direction. The hair (412) implanted in the holes (411b) has a diameter of 0.05-0.20mm, and a free length of 15-20mm. When the roller (41) rotates, the linear velocity of the tips of the hair (412) is 120.8-201.3mm/s. This device (4) removes ink adhered to the surface of the belt (23) without leaving any of the same thereon.
