Abstract:
A bending method according to the present invention includes: an acquisition step for acquiring a reference value of an origin position of a punch with respect to a die for each article to be processed, before starting a workpiece bending operation with a bending machine having the punch and the die; a storing step for storing the acquired reference value in association with each article to be processed; a read-out step for reading out the reference value associated with an article to be processed that is subjected to bending; a measuring step for acquiring a measurement value of the origin position after starting the workpiece bending operation; a calculation step for calculating, on the basis of the measured measurement value, the amount of temporal change from the reference value or the previous measurement value as the amount by which the punch is to be pushed into the die or as the temporal-change correction value of the origin position of the punch; and a resetting step for resetting, for each of predetermined trigger conditions, the amount by which the punch is to be pushed in or the origin position by using the temporal-change correction value during the automatic operation of workpiece bending.
