Abstract:
A bending section (34) for an endoscope, having bending tubes (42) constructed
from joint pieces (44) connected so as to be rotatable relative to each other and
also having an outer skin (46) for covering the outer periphery of the bending
tubes (42). Projections (46a) arranged in the longitudinal direction of the
bending section (34) project from the inner peripheral surface of the outer skin
(46) and control the shape of bending of the bending tubes (42).
