Disclosed are a biomass-based long-chain alcohol ether oxygen-containing additive, a preparation method therefor and an application thereof. The raw material of the additive is agricultural and forestry waste, and the general chemical formula is R-(OC1-3)n-R-OH. The preparation method comprises the following steps: step one, performing drying pretreatment on a biomass raw material, then rapidly pyrolyzing same under an inert atmosphere to obtain a pyrolysis product containing water, gas, water-phase bio-oil and oil-phase bio-oil, separating the water phase bio-oil and performing catalytic hydrogenation to obtain a polyol; step two, catalytically dehydrating the polyol obtained in step one in a basic catalyst system to obtain an alkylene oxide; step three, reacting the alkylene oxide obtained in step two with methanol by using a molecular sieve catalyst, separating and removing the solid catalyst to obtain a long-chain alcohol ether oxygen-containing additive. The application is an application of the additive in liquid fuel. The present invention is miscible with diesel at any ratio, and improves the usage value and application prospect of biomass-based oxygen-containing fuel.
