Abstract:
Provided is a message sending method. The method comprises: a first network device receiving a data message and encapsulating the data message to obtain a first message, wherein the first message comprises an IPv6 header, a bit index-based explicit replication BIER header and the data message, and some bits of an IPv6 source address field of the IPv6 header comprise identification information of a first tenant; and the first network device sending the first message to a second network device, wherein the identification information of the first tenant is used by the second network device to determine to send the data message to an interface of the second network device corresponding to the first tenant. The technical solution provided in the present application can reduce the memory overhead, and avoid wasting the memory overhead.
