Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel bioprocess and bioprocess device in which the CO2 in a gas can be utilized as a substrate. The bioprocess involves (a) causing a CO2-containing gas (G) to contact an alkali, thereby causing the alkali to absorb at least part of the CO2, and (b) causing a microbial reaction system (Y) to proceed by utilizing the alkali that has passed through step (a) as a substance. The bioprocess device is provided with a CO2 absorption unit which causes part of the CO2 contained in the gas (G) to be absorbed by the alkali, and a microbe reaction unit (YU) which includes a reaction tank (YR) that houses a medium or reaction medium and microbes (YM), wherein the alkali that has absorbed at least part of the CO2 from the CO2 absorption unit is supplied as a substance to the microbe reaction system (Y) which executed in the reaction tank (YR).
