The present invention provides a bipolar storage battery in which electrolytic solution can be prevented from leaking out of a cell in a sure manner, by a simple seal configuration. A bipolar storage battery (100) includes a plurality of cell members (150), and a plurality of frame units (110), (120), (130) that form a plurality of cells (160) that individually accommodate the plurality of cell members (150). The plurality of frame units (110), (120), (130) are arranged, with the frame units (130), (110) that are made of light-transmitting resin material and the frame units (110), (120) that are made of light-absorbing resin material being arranged to alternate in a stacking direction of the cell members (150). The frame units (130), (110) made of light-transmitting resin material, and the frame units (110), (120) made of light-absorbing resin material, which are adjacent in the stacking direction of the cell members (150), are joined by fused portions (140).
