Abstract:

A shutter drive device for a camera has a lower board (50) having an opening (51), a blade (70) for opening and closing the opening (51), and an electromagnetic actuator as the drive source for the blade (70). The electromagnetic actuator has an excitation coil (40), a rotor (20) magnetized with poles in the circumferential direction, a shaft (52) for rotatably supporting the rotor (20), and a stator (10) for generating magnetic force to the rotor (20) by conduction of electricity to the excitation coil (40). The rotor (20) has an arm (31) extending outward from the center and also has a pin (32) engaging with the blade (70) and upstanding from the arm (31). The rotor (20), the arm (31), and the pin (32) are arranged within the thickness (B) of the coil (40), in the direction of the shaft (52).
