Abstract:
A blade server and a service scheduling method thereof are disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: according to the requirement of processing capability for a service, selecting a blade plate for the logical partition in which the service is(A1); issuing an identifier of the logical partition, in which the service is stored, to the selected blade plate(A2); the blade plate starting the service from the logical partition which the identifier of the logical partition corresponds to(A3). Dynamically distributing the blade plate based on the requirement of the service is achieved, so as to select a high-performance blade plate at the peaks of the service, ensuring the normal processing of the service, and use a relatively low performance blade plate at the valleys of the service, releasing the high performance blade plate to process other services. Compared with the existing static configuration method between the blade plate and the service, it can make use of resources of blade plates more effectively and reduce the cost of the blade server.
