Abstract:
A blood bag system (100) is provided with a first bag (101) for storing blood from a donor, a first tube (106a) for transferring blood from the first bag (101), a filter (21) for filtering the blood transferred from the first tube (106a), a second tube (106b) for transferring the filtered blood, and a second bag (102) for storing the filtered blood transferred from the second tube (106b), the first bag (101) including a predetermined amount of air, and the amount of air satisfying the expression (V1 + V2 + V3) ≤ (amount of air) < (V1 + V2 + V3 + V4 + V5). Here, V1 is the volume of the first tube, V2 is the volume of a blood inflow chamber, V3 is the void volume of a filter medium, V4 is the volume of a blood outflow chamber, and V5 is the volume of the second tube.
